Wagner's Garlic Parmesan Steak

Wagner's Mustards are amazing!  Bob makes all his mustard here in the Treasure Valley, you can learn more about Wagner's Mustards here.   We love being able to sell his mustards in our store.  This recipe is on his website as well.
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil    
  • 2 Tblsp Butter
  • 5-10 cloves Garlic (Depending on how much you love garlic!)
  • 3 Tblsp Wagner's Idaho Mustard    
  • 3 Tblsp Thyme
  • 4 whole Steaks (your Preference) Shop Valli Hi Steaks here   
  • ½ tsp Kosher Salt
  • ¼ tsp Freshly Ground Pepper    
  • Parmesan Cheese

Place olive oil and butter in a small sauté pan over medium high heat. Add garlic and pan roast until soft, about 5 -10 minutes.  Let cool.  Remove the garlic and reserve the oil/butter.  Add garlic to a small bowl and mash with a fork. Add thyme and mustard and mix well, making a paste.  Set aside for 15 minutes or so to let flavors mature. 
Season steaks with kosher salt and pepper and baste with the olive oil/butter on both sides. Cook steaks on a hot grill for 4 -5 minutes each side.  Baste with the oil/butter periodically.  When steaks are almost done, cover each generously with the mustard/garlic paste. Top with a generous amount of parmesan cheese. Continue grilling until cheese and mustard form a crust.  Let steaks rest five minutes before eating.

  • 4 tsp. Fresh Ground Pepper    
  • ½ c. Kosher Salt    
  • ½ tsp. Cayenne Pepper    
  • 1 Tblsp. Garlic Salt
  • ½ tsp. Adolf’s Tenderizer (optional)    
Mix together, sprinkle or rub on choice of meat and cook it as desired.

All Purpose Beef Rub

It's starting to feel a lot like Spring!  Time to get out those BBQ's and start enjoying the warmer days and evenings!  Here is our Favorite Seasoning for steaks, burgers, roasts... you name it, if its meat, it should go quite nicely with this BBQ Rub.  ​
All Purpose Beef Rub
  • ½ c. Brown Sugar    
  • ​¼ c. Himalayan Salt
  • 2 Tblsp. Coarse Black Pepper    
  • 2 Tblsp. Paprika
  • 1 Tblsp. Onion Powder    
  • 1 Tblsp. Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp. Powdered Oregano    
  • 1 tsp. Dry Mustard
  • ½ tsp. Ground Cumin
Combine in airtight jar, shake to mix.  Enjoy liberally on steaks, roasts, or other beef.
